Pictured above, you can see our network of thriving urban farms here in the City of Angels. We're now in our third year of operation, this summer will be our sixth (biannual) season. To date we've established over 200 urban farms and we manage more than 100 of them on a weekly basis.

All that is to say: good work, Los Angeles. But the Farmscape project has barely even begun. There are still millions of idle yards waiting quietly for a friendly farmer to turn them back into farms. We have more work to do, we must pursue all opportunities for turning this into this, and making that into that:
