How do you deal with pests in the garden?

We have dealt with almost every type of pest problem and there is always a solution. Our expert farmers will troubleshoot any problems with your garden and keep you up to date with their recommendations.

Do you offer a free assessment?

No. The first appointment with us is $90 and if you move forward with the project that $90 goes towards an installation. An urban farm consultant will come to your yard and assess for sunlight, soil drainage, and water hook-ups for the irrigation system. During this appointment the farmer will talk with you about what crops you are insterested in growing, discuss possible locations for your garden, and how you would like your farm to look.

How much does it cost?

Generally, our projects range from $3,000 on up. We've built hundreds of beautiful urban farms that range from simple to sophisticated in design that fit a variety of budgets and lifestyles. The factors that determine a farm cost are design, size, features, and materials. When compared with other landscape features an urban farm is very affordable.

Do you offer alternative maintenance packages?

No, we are not able to offer maintenance packages other than weekly farming visits. We have found that weekly visits are necessary for a garden to be successful. If you need tutorials periodically or help during the seasonal switch you can always set up consultations with our farmers.

How much produce can I expect?

We make no guarantee of yield but we estimate our gardens average at least 3 pounds of produce per square foot per year. However, harvest volumes will vary greatly by yard and crop selection. Our farmers practice intensive planting methods to ensure that you're getting the biggest yield possible from your space.

Do you offer fruit tree service?

Yes, we offer home orchard care. Our farmers have the expertise and dedication to properly manage your home orchard. We ensure that your trees are routinely pruned so that they are kept at an ideal height of 6-8 feet. We offer quarterly maintenance on fruit trees and pricing varies depending on the number of trees. We also offer design services so that an orchard can be easily integrated into your urban farm landscape.
