Faithful Farm at Levi’s Stadium

Faithful Farm sits atop Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, home of the San Francisco 49ers. The farm space is a converted, extensive green roof with an average of 9” soil depth throughout. In order to convert it to a productive growing area for annual crops, we:

• Amended the soil thoroughly with compost and biochar
• Created maintenance pathways throughout the farm for access
• Added pollinator plants to the garden 
• Retrofitted the drip irrigation to 12” spacing 

The farm has grown ten tons of food since 2016, providing produce for on-site food services and the Second Harvest Food Bank. For more information, check out this recent profile in Edible Silicon Valley.
