Project Goals

  • Activate an odd corner of a half-acre lot to make a secret garden
  • Preserve and emphasize the grand live oak trees that flanked the space
  • Reuse on-site building materials left over from other installs
  • Keep water usage low
Cedar timber raised beds

A quick hand sketch was all that was needed to get going. Many of our raised projects can get off the ground after a relatively quick design process like this!

Citrus, Santa Rosa plum and fig trees
Corten steel centerpiece planter
Annual food production area
Surf shack designed and installed by E Builders
Vintage brick border to differentiate planting and circulation areas
