~1,000 SF Frontyard
Design, Installation, Maintenance

We always delight in the opportunity to convert an unused piece of plastic astroturf to an abundant garden.  The intention for this project was to create a frontyard entry that will be enjoyed daily and serve as a vibrant outdoor gathering space during events.  Taking cues for materiality from the home, our goal was to blend seamlessly. This tight envelope of less than 1000 square feet packs many nooks for a glass of wine with friends or contemplating butterflies. Final project elements included:

  • Concrete seat walls and raised planters
  • CA Native, Mediterranean, and low-water pollinator borders for sun and shade
  • Passionfruit vine
  • Citrus, Avocado, Pome, Banana & Stone Fruit Trees
  • Dragonfruit with custom trellis
